I worked in hospital settings for 17 years and most of them in Surgery and have deep understanding of human anatomy, risk factors associated with injections and troubleshooting side effects of treatments.

2. STARTED IN 2017 AND ALWAYS CONTINUE MY EDUCATION

I've started my aesthetic journey back in 2017 when I completed my basic training for Dermal filler and Botulinum toxin treatments held in Lancaster University by Fylde Face Clinic Training Academy. I completed Advanced Dermal Filler training in 2019 with PDO Threads certification and constantly learning new advances in aesthetic practice. I also had a professional training on different lip augmentation techniques with famous Ukrainian Dr. Teodor Liseiko to provide you with best recent developments in aesthetic industry.

Does lip blushing hurt?

The lips are a naturally sensitive area, so I will apply a topical numbing cream to significantly reduce the pain. Many clients describe the lip blushing procedure as a series of light scratches or small pinches.

How to prepare for lip blush?

a) As a necessary precaution, if you have ever had a cold sore in your life, you will be required to take an anti-viral prescribed by your doctor. The medication should be taken for a total of 5 days (2 days prior to procedure, 1 day-of, and 2 days post-procedure).

b) Lip Scrub

It is vital to come to your appointment with smooth, moisturized lips for the best results. Please use a sugar scrub that you can easily make at home for 3-4 nights prior to your lip blush treatment

c) Keep Lips Moisturized and Stay Hydrated

d) Fillers + Facial Treatments

Clients who have lip fillers can get a lip blush tattoo. However, fillers should be done at least four weeks prior to or after the lip blush appointment for best results. If you use exfoliating products at home, such as Vitamin C serums or Retinoids Nika recommends taking a break from these for at least two weeks prior to and after your appointment. The same goes for facial waxing, lasers, botox, and chemical peels. Lastly, please avoid tanning and excessive sun exposure for 2 weeks before and after the procedure.

5) What to Avoid

Do NOT drink alcohol the night before or drink caffeine the day you are to have your procedure. Do NOT take any blood thinning medications at least one week before your appointment, these include but not limited to: Aspirin, Niacin, Vitamin E, Fish Oil, Ibuprofen, etc. If taking antibiotics, the last dose must be taken 2 months prior to the lip blush procedure.

How long does it take for lip blush to settle?
